Stampin' Up! Just Kidding Friend Card

Image
Hey folks!  Another week with #sketchintuesday and this one ended up being super cute!  The sketch kind of intimidated me, and that could be why I didn't follow exactly but that's the beauty of a sketch....to do your own thing! This one took minimal supplies, and I only stamped the sentiment as the dsp did ALL of the work! This Just Kidding dsp is super cute and oh so inclusive.  At first I thought the image I chose had some sort of barrette in her hair but closer inspection shows a cochlear implant and might totally be a boy or a girl!  I didn't chose for gender, I just liked how they were holding books which is also incorporated into the other piece of dsp I chose.  I actually cut it down to just include the bookshelf and fun accessories.  Just what you would want to see at any library. The cardbase is Pool Party which I adhered the first panel of dsp to using Stampin' Seal.  Then after cutting down my next panel of dsp, that was also adhered using Stampin' Seal.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavender Sympathy Card

I've said this a dozen times if I've said it once...it's so much more fun when you craft with a buddy.  Today's project was created during a facebook live with my side line Andrea.  Even though we are pretty much on opposite coasts of Canada, it doesn't matter.  We pick up where we finished in our last week's craft session and have so much fun.  We laugh, we fumble, sometimes there's an animal of hers involved but there's always a relaxing atmosphere. We both took the sketch to heart this week and pretty nearly followed to a T. My cardbase was Crumb Cake which I added a layer of Perennial Lavender DSP to.  Then another layer of each, adhered together and then to the cardfront was next.  The sentiment outline was stamped in Crumb Cake onto a piece of Basic White then blended using a Blending Brush.  Next, the words were stamped using Highland Heather and then punched out using the Hexagon Punch.   Using a small strip of Stampin' Seal on the front, I

Howdy folks!  Today's project was so much fun to create.  I did overthink the measurements but I won't do that again, lol.  Work smart not hard, right?   So this fun Trusty Toolbox dsp is part of the sale a bration offerings happening right now.  I couldn't wait for this to arrive so I could do something with it.  The images are so fun to fussy cut, wonder what I can make next :)   The first layer is from the Trusty Toolbox dsp which is adhered to the Gray Granite cardbase.  Then after cutting the four pieces of dsp and Poppy Parade cardstock, I adhered those together and placed onto the card front.  The Basic White is adhered to the last piece of Poppy Parade and adhere that to the cardfront also.  Next are a couple of tools that were fussy cut, again attached with Stampin' Seal.  The sentiment is stamped with Gray Granite ink on Gray Granite cardstock and cut apart.  These are now popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals and placed on the Basic White piece around the

Stampin' Up! Fresh as a Daisy Sympathy Card

Oh boy!  Has this been a week!  I don't even know what put me behind but something did.  Today's project was my #sketchintuesday offering.  The sketch was from another demonstrator and I absolutely loved all the circles.  Usually I do my own thing with a sketch but today's is pretty much a complete case. Two different dsp packs were used so I could find corresponding colours (one of the many reasons I love Stampin' Up! products) and I chose a sympathy card so wanted some muted tones. The first layer is from the Earthen Elegance dsp pack which was adhered to the Basic White cardbase.  Next three circle die cuts were cut from the Fresh as a Daisy dsp using the Stylish Shapes dies.  These were all adhered using Stampin' Seal! and then placed onto the card front.  A strip of Basic White, Memento ink and In the Moment stamp set created the sentiment for the cardfront which was popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.  A few of the 2023-2025 in Color Dots and a small l

Hey, Gotta love a great sketch and equally love some vintage products.  Today's card was made alongside my sideline, Andrea using her sketch.  She used all current product and mine was a mix of both old and new.   Now, I'm not gonna lie...both of the die cuts are also retired but some items I had already stamped and die cut and had in my "please use me" stash.  Makes putting together a card less time consuming when you are in a time crunch. I adhered the two pieces of dsp to the Sweet Sorbet cardstock, wrapped a length of the cool Sweet Sorbet ribbon around it, securing it in the back with tape.  Then I coloured the gnome die cut using Stampin' Blends and popped him up using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment was cut already and also popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Not sure if you recall the Many Messages stamp set-it had many messages (lol) all on one big stamp.  The dies cut them all out at once, so I always had sentiments at the ready. I add
