Stampin' Up! All About Autumn Floating Element Thank You Card

Image
Good day folks! We are at the end of August and today certainly feels fallish and I AM LOVING IT!  :)  I like to scroll through facebook, pinterest and all the other socials to look for card ideas, new techniques, etc.  When my side line pointed this technique out, I knew I had to give it a try.  I did modify it a little bit but the main technique is there.  It's really a fairly simple card to create but it packs a lot of wow!  By using the Copper Clay cardstock and the All About Autumn DSP, it created such a stunning card.  Such rich tones.  Using the Copper Clay cardstock, I cut the base to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored it at 4 1/4.  Open the card up landscape, you are going to cut  on both ends 1 1/4 to the score line.  This will give you your flaps.  That's the hardest part, which isn't hard at all.  Next I embossed the second piece of Copper Clay and secured that to the card front which will actually fit between the two cut edges.  Next add the 2 pieces of dsp to the 2 outside

Stampin' Up! Bright & Beautiful Fancy Fold Card

Have you ever had one of those moments when you just feel like making a card for no reason at all?  Well, that's what happened to me last night after the boys went to bed.  I didn't have a reason other than I wanted to continue showcasing some of the awesome current Stampin' Up! products and also to try to bash my dsp stash. My name is Mary Louise and welcome to my blog!  I had seen this fancy fold several times, I might have even tackled it before but if I did, it was awhile ago.  It is such a simple way to make a statement card that can be for any occasion. My cardbase is Blueberry Bushell which was cut and scored, the die cut circle behind the image and the strip to hold the card together are all Blueberry Bushell too.  The dsp is from Bright & Beautiful and they are adhered to the front and the inside of the cardbase.  There is a small piece of Basic White for the insert and fits beside the piece of dsp.  The strip of Blueberry Bushell, which is scored is secured n

Stampin' Up! Earthern Elegance Birthday Card

Today's project was created by following another demonstrators clues for Mystery Stamping.  It was a live recording during my 9th Anniversary of being a Stampin Up demonstrator celebration.  Every chance I have to create using dsp pieces makes my heart happy.  My original intent was for this to be a masculine card until I added the cute bouquet of sunflowers to the back of the truck.  That kind of blew it but I still love it! I stamped the sentiment onto the card front before I started to put pieces together.  Then it was putting dsp layers to cardstock.  The truck was stamped onto a piece of Basic White scrap using Pecan Pie-full strength for the truck detail stamp, then stamped off for the "full" truck.  I added Black Stampin' Blends for the tires, Bermuda Bay for the glass effect and also the hubcaps.  So Saffron, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie completed the flowers.  I punched out the truck and fussy cut the flowers.  A few Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to

Stampin' UP! Trucking Along Birthday Card

Hello, todays project is based on a sketch challenge that another Stampin' Up! demonstrator Patti@pspapercrafts had posted on her blog.  I did use the same paper that she used but changed up my main focal point.   I must say I am really enjoying this Trucking Along stamp set alot.  I was a bit hesitant to purchase it but now that I have used it a few times, yup!  I am hooked. Today's card uses a Bubble Bath cardbase, with a white panel and insert.  The banners are cut from Bright & Beautiful designer series paper and backed with more of the Bubble Bath cardstock.  They are just adhered together and layered onto the cardbase. I didn't really measure the length of my banners, just cut them long, arranged where I wanted them on the card front and trimmed from the top.  If you are wanting to be more precise, then you could measure before you cut your Bubble Bath and DSP pieces. The fun part is next-stamping the truck on a piece of Basic White cardstock.    The outline is s
