Stampin' Up! All About Autumn Floating Element Thank You Card

Good day folks!

We are at the end of August and today certainly feels fallish and I AM LOVING IT!  :)

I like to scroll through facebook, pinterest and all the other socials to look for card ideas, new techniques, etc.  When my side line pointed this technique out, I knew I had to give it a try.  I did modify it a little bit but the main technique is there.  It's really a fairly simple card to create but it packs a lot of wow!  By using the Copper Clay cardstock and the All About Autumn DSP, it created such a stunning card.  Such rich tones.

Using the Copper Clay cardstock, I cut the base to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored it at 4 1/4.  Open the card up landscape, you are going to cut  on both ends 1 1/4 to the score line.  This will give you your flaps.  That's the hardest part, which isn't hard at all.  Next I embossed the second piece of Copper Clay and secured that to the card front which will actually fit between the two cut edges.  Next add the 2 pieces of dsp to the 2 outside flaps.  The 3 x 3 piece of dsp-cut that into equal strips-I did mine into 4.  Add these to the piece of window sheet.  Your strips will overhand on the top and bottom and you will want to leave a bit of the window sheet showing on either end. Stamp you sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut.  Add a few dimensionals and adhere over top a small length of the In Color Twine (I separated and used 1 strand).  Now you can add an inside sentiment if desired to the other piece of Very Vanilla, add a strip of the DSP and adhere to the inside of  the card.  I topped it off with a few of the 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

 Materials and measurements:

Copper Clay cardbase 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and cut @ 1 1/4" from each side; 4 x 2 3/4 embossed;

All About Autumn DSP 3 x 3 cut into vertical strips (I cut into 4); 1 x 4 (2); strip for insert

Hint* I cut the two pieces of dsp from either end of the piece (leaving me with the 3 x 3 piece for the window sheet) so when I adhered to the cardbase, the pattern was just a continuation.

Very Vanilla cardstock 4 x 2 3/4; scrap for die cut

Memento ink

Window Sheets 4 x 2 3/4
