Stampin' Up Heron Habitat Birthday Card

Image
Good day!  Hope you are having a great day and are enjoying crafting of some type today.   Crafting with a friend is always lots of fun, even if you are half a Country apart.  Thanks to modern technology, we can enjoy each other feeling like we are in the same room.  Andrea created a wonky lined sketch and this is my version.  I recently ordered the Heron Habitat, not something I would normally reach for but I had seen so many lovely cards made using it so thought I would give it a go. The Soft Succulent cardbase and coordinating Texture Chic DSP made this card so beautiful.  I made the "wonky" lines with the Basic Border Dies and layered the dsp adhering with Stampin' Seal.  Stylish Shapes Dies provided the circle from Basic White where I first used my blending brush and a little Pool Party ink.  The look I was trying to achieve was a bit of water/sky background before stamping the Heron in Memento and the grasses stamp in Soft Succulent.  This circle was then popped up

Stampin' Up! Adorable Owls Love Card

Happy Heritage Day!  I hope you are having a great day spending it doing what you really want to do.  I know I am relaxing after working all weekend and spending time in my craft room.  Today's card is using a sketch from the Mini Catalogue January through April 2023.  These are so much fun to do! Sale a Bration is almost over and I have been having so much fun with this Adorable Owl stamp set.  It's FREE!  with a $60 purchase.  This guy was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends.  He will be popped up later with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I adhered the three pieces of the Floral Country Lane DSP onto the layer of a coordinating piece of Floral Country Lane DSP which was then adhered to the Balmy Blue cardbase.  A couple of hearts were then fussy cut from the same pack of dsp and adhered to the cardfront along with the popped up Owl.  Added a few Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins and our Owl is finished!  The sentiment uses Mem

Stampin Up Day at the Farm Birthday Card

Hello, welcome to East Coast Stamping with Mary Louise.  Today's project is a sketch challenge with my good friend and side line, Andrea .  She designs the sketch and we go live on facebook and create based on that.  You never know what we are going to come up and it's always loads of fun. I really wanted to focus on a fun image or piece of dsp for the center, negative space so I searched through the Day at the Farm DSP for just the right pieces.  This pack of paper is so cute, with lots of farm and farm related images and it's free until the end of February, 2023 with a $60.00 purchase during Sale a Bration.  The first layer of dsp has been die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  This is adhered to a coordinating piece of dsp, just big enough to cover the circle and all placed on to the Soft Suede cardbase.  I stamped the sentiment from Best Day using Soft Suede in on the front, added a bow from Bakers Twine Essential pack and a few of the Glossy Dots Assortments.  Super

Stampin’ Up! Places in the Heart Embossed Baby Card

Image
Today's card was featured during a recent #sketchintuesday sketch challenge.  Each week I find a sketch from the internet and create using my own interpretation.  Sometimes it is clear where I have gone but other times, I admit I go a bit rogue!  It's all in fun! I don't have many baby cards and when I pulled the Places in the Heart stamp from my shelf I knew I had to use this and heat emboss it.  The fact that the stamp is so detailed made me a bit nervous about if it would actually create a clear image but I am soooo happy with it.   Using a Basic White cardbase, first I stamped a sentiment on the inside and added a strip of dsp.  Then I added the two pieces of 2022-2024 In Colours DSP using Stampin' Seal.  Next I used my embossing buddy to give my piece of Starry Sky cardstock a good rub to help reduce any static cling.  Next I used the Versamark pad and inked up my image, stamped onto the Starry Sky piece.  White embossing powder was sprinkled next, tapped off exce

Stampin' UP! Design a Daydream DSP Congratulations Card

Welcome to my blog, East Coast Stamping with Mary Louise.  Today's post was created using a sketch from my side line, Andrea . What was even more fun, we created together via facebook live using the same sketch.  It was so much fun.  Of course we had different interpretations of the sketch as we have very different crafting ideas.  Did I mention that it was so much fun???? Crafting alone can be therapeutic but when I have the chance to be with friends, either in person or virtually, I take full advantage.   I needed a Congratulations card as I just had a new member added to my team!  EEkkk, so exciting.  For the card, I used an Old Olive cardbase, topped with a piece of Design a DayDream DSP from the Annual Catalogue (2022-2023).  I topped that with another layer duo of dsp and cardstock.  The sentiment was created using the Something Fancy Bundle, stamped in Memento on Old Olive cardstock.  Daffodil Delight cardstock was punched using the Double Oval punch, topped with the sentime

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Deer Birthday Card

Image
Good day all!  Mary Louise here, your independant Stampin Up demonstrator from Nova Scotia. Today's card was inspired by one that I made for Christmas, a layout quite popular on Pinterest.  It's actually using the same stamp set, which was released for Christmas.  Switching up the dsp and using a different sentiment, I now have a Birthday card.  I tried to keep the embellishments light so it could be passed off as masculine.  Hopefully I passed! I stamped the deer from the Peaceful Deer stamp set using Soft Suede on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it out using the Deer Builder Punch.  I then tied a bow adhering it with a mini glue dot out of Bakers Twine Essentials Pack.  The cardbase and first layer is Soft Succulent, my favourite current shade of green!  The layer is embossed with the Leaf Fall Embossing folder and then adhered to cardbase with Stampin' Seal.  Next I layered the three pieces of dsp from the Pretty Prints and Design a Daydream designer series packs.
