Stampin' Up! In The Moment Card

Image
Todays card is not only based on a sketch (loosely) but also on a technique that I have tried before a long time ago and wanted to revisit. I like how it turned out, however I think I would prefer to have a different sized image to stamp that would be taller than the circle.  But it's still cool! Using a scrap of cardstock that had a circle die cut in it, I laid it on a piece of Basic White and used my Gray Granite ink and a blending brush to colour in the circle.  When I had the desired amount of colour, I lifted the scrap piece and then stamped my image, again using Gray Granite. The image is off to the side of the circle, giving a bit of a different look.  Then I stamped the sentiment below the circle.  I did take a Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend and coloured her hair clip because I thought it needed a little pop of colour.  The stamps are from the In the Moment stamp set.  This layer is adhered to the Gray Granite cardbase, with a little bow from the Baker's Twine pack and

Stampin' Up! Rock and Roll Birthday Card

Hey everyone!  Today's sketch is super cool and I really love the card I made using it.  This was so easy to put together since I used three different dsp designs.  All I stamped was the sentiments.  So if you were looking for a great design to mass produce, this is it! The first layer of dsp goes directly onto the cardbase, then I cut the second piece of dsp (I cut it on a diagonal, now there's no right or wrong to the size of this piece so do what works for you) and it is adhered to the first.  See, simple!  The third piece of dsp is adhered to the Basic Black panel with Stampin' Seal, then popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals and placed slightly askew on the cardfront.  Almost done!  Next I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Songbirds onto a scrap of Basic White using Memento ink.  That is then trimmed down to the size I want and popped up with Stampin Dimensionals.   For the inside, I stamped a sentiment and added a few music notes from the same stamp set, added a scr

Stampin' Up! Gilded Leafing Birthday Card

Have you ever noticed the offerings of cardbases and envelopes in the catalogue?  Even better when the designs are super pretty.  Today's project is using the Gold Foiled Flowers Cards & Envelopes.  I actually cut one of the card bases in two and will make two cards with it. Using Very Vanilla as my cardbase, I trimmed down the card front from the cards and envelopes pack.  This is then adhered to the cardbase using Stampin' Seal.  Almost done! :) I then stamped a sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out using the Hexagon Punch.  Adding a strip of tear and tape all the way around the punched edge, I then dipped it into the Gilded Leafing.  Using my hands and a blending brush to shake off the excess leafing, I worked the loose stuff off.  I adhered a bit of Stampin' Seal to the front of my card where I wanted to add my ribbon, then placed a length of the Gold Faux Leather Trim to the front of my card.  My sentiment piece will now fit over the ribbon si

Stampin' UP! Gold Embossed Zinnia Birthday Card

Oh if you could only see this card in person!  It is gorgeous and simple to make and I just can't wait to give it away and make more! This was created by inking my embossing folder with Versamark, embossing a piece of cardstock, then sprinkling some embossing powder on the cardstock and finally applying heat via our heat tool.  Place it onto a cardbase, add a few embellishments and done! Add your versamark to either side, depending on what you want your end result to be.  I put mine on the right hand side or the indented side.  Then I added my Basic White cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot (yup, it's still going strong!).  Then I quickly added my Gold Embossing Powder to it and heat set it with my heat tool.   A strip of ribbon was added across the front, just long enough to tuck around the back and secured with stampin Seal!.  Then the entire embossed layer was added to the cardbase.  Another small piece of ribbon was tied to make a small knot off to the side.  My senti

Stampin Up Fresh as a Daisy Thank You card

Today turned out to be a beautiful day here in Nova Scotia.  Started frosty but now I have some windows open and the sun is shining bright!  Great to help dry up all of the recent rain we've had and it's great for our mental health.   Todays project is based on a sketch from Andrea and created during a facebook live.  My card is reversed from the sketch but otherwise pretty much bang on! It's really just a matter of cutting and pasting.  I added the Early Espresso layer onto the cardfront, then added the three pieces of dsp around the edges.  I tried my very very best (lol) to keep the same amount of space between each piece, and then I added the bigger piece.  The sentiment is stamped using Early Espresso onto a piece of Basic White, then punched using the Hexagon punch.  I adhered a length of the textured ribbon to the card front using Stampin' Seal, then popped up my sentiment on Stampin' Dimensionals to fit right over the ribbon.  Great effect!  A few of the Rhi

Stampin' Up! Delicate Desert Thank You Card

What a great day for a throwback thursday post!  Great sketch, great crafting pal and great crafting weather! (was terrible outside, so glad to be able to hunker down inside and stay warm and dry). Andrea and I both worked with the same sketch and came out with such totally different results, both cards were super cool too. I like to dig into my retired goodies from time to time, and why not?   My first layer is from the Delicate Desert, which is adhered to the Cajun Craze cardbase.  Then another layer of dsp onto a strip of Cajun Craze then adhered to the front of the card.  Most of the card is finished now, just that simple!  Next, I stamped my sentiment from Timeless Arrangements using Memento onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punched using the Double Oval Punch.  Of course, the base layer of that is Cajun Craze which I then adhered together.  A small length of White Baker's Twine is wound under the sentiment which is now popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Anoth

Stampin' Up! Nature's Sweetness Thank You Card

Welcome to my blog!  Today's project was created using a sketch from another Stampin' UP! demo that I was partnered with for a working group recently.  When she posted the sketch, I thought this was the perfect way to support her in her business goals.  Plus, it let me have fun with another sketch which is kind of my weakness. I placed a layer of dsp from the Nature's Sweetness paper pack on to the Pecan Pie cardbase after first wrapping a length of the Faux Leather Trim around and securing with adhesive.  This layer has been popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I created three flowers using the Color & Contours Stamp set.  Two were stamped onto Basic White scraps and the third is heat embossed onto a piece of Pecan Pie. The stamped ones were done with Poppy Parade and Calypso Coral-the stamp is a two step stamp and the I used the same colour for each of the two stamps.  They were die cut but I also did a bit of fussy cutting also.  The one on the Pecan Pie,
