Stampin' Up! Gilded Leafing Birthday Card
Have you ever noticed the offerings of cardbases and envelopes in the catalogue? Even better when the designs are super pretty. Today's project is using the Gold Foiled Flowers Cards & Envelopes. I actually cut one of the card bases in two and will make two cards with it.
Using Very Vanilla as my cardbase, I trimmed down the card front from the cards and envelopes pack. This is then adhered to the cardbase using Stampin' Seal. Almost done! :) I then stamped a sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out using the Hexagon Punch. Adding a strip of tear and tape all the way around the punched edge, I then dipped it into the Gilded Leafing. Using my hands and a blending brush to shake off the excess leafing, I worked the loose stuff off. I adhered a bit of Stampin' Seal to the front of my card where I wanted to add my ribbon, then placed a length of the Gold Faux Leather Trim to the front of my card. My sentiment piece will now fit over the ribbon since I added Stampin' Dimensionals. There is also a sentiment on the inside of the card.
This was super simple to make and soooo beautiful. I figured there was enough gold and glitter that I didn't need to add any other embellishments.
