Stampin' Up! Paper Butterfly Accents Sympathy Card

Image
Good day folks!  Another cold, sunny January day here in Nova Scotia.  Here is another project that I provided for my club gals.  It's actually one I found on Pinterest and case'd it using items I had on hand.  I had bought the butterfly accents last fall and finally got around to using them. I like this card because there is very little stamping, a bit of colour added using Blending Brushes and then adhere all of the pieces.  Let's get started! Colouring was the first part of this card.  First I added some colour to the sentiment for the cardfront as well as the insert using the Berry Burst ink and Blending Brushes.  I didn't want a lot of colour, just enough to pop the Memento sentiments....which I added next using sentiments from the Something Fancy stamp set.  The sentiment for the front can now be cut using the die from the Something Fancy bundle.  Next, I added some Berry Burst to the butterflies, again using the Blending Brushes.(large...

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Birthday Card

Image
Good day folks, Sunny but cool day here in Nova Scotia, a perfect day to make some cards.  I needed an idea or two for my club gals featuring some of the new products from the January to April mini and decided to showcase the Wildflower Birthday DSP and Birthday Celebration Stamp Set. Once all of the papers are cut, the card is so easy to put together but LOVE, LOVE the layout. Stamp your sentiments on the insert (if desired) as well as the small piece of Basic White.  Now we can start adhering. First, adhere the strip of dsp to the insert using adhesive of choice, then add the insert to the cardbase.  Adhere the large piece of dsp to the front of the cardbase.  Next add the thin strip of Blueberry Bushell to the cardfront using adhesive.  The three pieces of dsp can now be adhered to the three pieces of Pretty in Pink cardstock which can be popped up onto the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere the stamped piece of Basic White onto the las...

Stampin' Up! Birthday Celebration Birthday Card

Image
Hey everyone! Today is the perfect day to be tucked in my craft room creating.  It's been snowing and now the sun is shining, and I am glad to be inside now. I received my preorder for the new mini catalogue and sale a bration.  My video today focused on the Wildflower Birthday 12x12 Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Birthday Celebration stamp set. So let me tell you a little bit about the dsp.  It has lovely colours of flowers, birthday cakes, and balloon images and some gold embossing also.  There are also 2 pages of bigger images you could cut out to be complete card fronts or tags AND 2 pages of various die cuts-from flowers, balloons and banners to greenery and cakes.   This card and layout are very easy to duplicate and still make a great card!. Stamping was completed first, a sentiment for both the inside of the card and also for the front.  I used Soft Sea Foam ink and the Birthday Celebration offerings. Next I added a small strip o...

Snowman Diamond Art Project

Image
Hello crafters,  How many of you dabble in multiple art forms besides paper crafting?  This is my second diamond art project (the first was a small dollar store picture and very small).  I wasn't really sure about this, so many shades of grey, blues.  But I love this guy!  And I found it to be very addictive.  I would sit in the evening, just to put a few in but it would be hours later and I would realize my evening was gone.  Now I can't wait to do another one, just need to figure out what I should do next. Have you tried diamond art crafting?

Stampin' Up! Forever Greenery Vellum Christmas Card

Image
Hey everyone!  Todays project was created for a card class and I wanted to showcase the Forever Greenery Vellum.  I had seen a card on Pinterest that inspired me.  Don't you just love Pinterest? The piece of vellum was torn a bit on the bottom, as you can see from the photo, leaving just enough room to see the sentiment from the layer underneath. Stamp your sentiment using Memento onto the bottom right hand corner of the layer of Garden Green cardstock.  Then tear the vellum just enough to see that image.  Now adhere to the Garden Green layer using liquid glue and glue dots being careful with your placement.  The glue will sometimes show through the vellum, so I place embellishments over those spots to hide it. Using the silver twine, take a piece just big enough to cover the front to the card and tape it to the back of the vellum/garden green layer.  Now take a smaller piece of silver twine and tie a knot around the first piece you placed.  Add s...
