Stampin' Up! Santa's List Christmas Card

Image
Hey everyone!  It's been a minute since I have made any kind of posts and I was feeling like I needed to share my most recent trip to the craft room.  To be honest, I can't remember the last card I made, my focus has been on other crafting endevours and I'm also very involved in Girl Guides and that has been very busy for me. While going through my card stash and checking my Christmas card list, I realized I needed to make a few to complete my list.  Not gonna lie, pretty much everything I used on this card is retired but very much loved so why not? The Santa from Santa's List was one of my early purchases and even though it's long been retired, it's been one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets.  The recipient of my card that I needed today has some littles and she is a little at heart so it was the perfect fit.   Certainly not my design, but I did swap out the dsp, and some of the tools used.  Here's what I did: I stamped all of my pieces first...

Stampin' Up! Night Before Christmas Card

Image
Hey all, are you all set for Christmas?  Well, I applaud you if you are because I'm slowly plodding along.  I've a lot of things started, but not actually completed and making Christmas cards is one of those things I need to complete.  I made sure I had enough to be able to mail out, now I need to make a few more to hand out locally. I dove deep into my dsp storage to find something I haven't used in a few years but was still super cute and I found...Night Before Christmas.  This one has been around since 2019 and I'm down now to a few strips left to find a use for. My card design was found on Pinterest, an American demonstrator, who makes great cards.  Figured I would borrow her design and just switch out colours, dsp and sentiment. Using my embossing buddy first, I patted the spot on my card front where I wanted my sentiment to be as well, on the insert.  Then I stamped the sentiments using Versark and sprinkled with the Copper Embossing Powder.  Aft...

Stampin' Up! Color & Contour Sympathy Card

Image
Hello folks!  It's me, Mary Louise from East Coast Stamping with Mary Louise bringing you another project from my #sketchingtuesday's live recently.  Even though these colours are a bit bright, I think they are still appropriate for a sympathy card.  They blend well together and offer some light during an otherwise sad time.  It seems as soon as I make a few of these cards for my stash, there are being pulled, signed and mailed lately.   A piece of Basic White cardstock was cut using the Color & Contour dies as the first layer onto the cardbase.  Next was a layer of the Stargazing DSP which was adhered also using Stampin' Seal with a final layer of Basic White which I stamped images and a sentiment onto.  The beautiful flowers were stamped onto scrap Basic White, fussy cut and then popped up using dimensionals being sure to line up with the stamped leaves.  This stamp set is a two step-so I started with the outline and used Berry Bu...
