Marnie's Mystery Challenge
Each month, my teammates and I participate in a team swap with a different theme each month. This month it was a mystery challenge so everyone sent piece(s) to each other and wait to see how everyone interprets them. We all have very different tastes and styles. This month, I was given a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that had been embosssed with the Bark 3D folder as my mystery challenge piece. I don't currently have that folder but I see that changing in the very near future. I immediately reached for the Sand and Sea DSP and thought the smaller elements from the Friends are like Seashells bundle would be a perfect fit. If you would like to order any of the items I used to create this card, leave a comment in the section below. If you would like to be a part of my team so you too, can participate in these fun swaps, please comment below.

Step- By-
Step Instructions:
Using your Cut and Emboss machine, cut white
card base to 5 ½ x 8 ½ and score at 4 ¼
Emboss the Crumb Cake matte using the Bark 3D
embossing folder in your Cut and Emboss machine
Stamp the small shells using Flirty Flamingo
ink on scraps of Basic White cardstock, also, stamp the Sand Dollar stamp onto
scrap of Basic White with Soft Suede ink.
Cut these pieces out using the Seaside Seashells Dies.
Stamp your sentiment onto a piece of Crumb Cake
scrap using Soft Suede
Punch your sentiment out using the Everyday
Label punch
Adhere your 2” wide strip of DSP onto your
matte. Add dimensionals to your
sentiment and place on top of the dsp strip, next add some the shells and sand
dollar die cuts.
For the inside, stamp your greeting in the
center in Soft Suede. Using the sea
grass stamp, ink up in Mossy Meadow and stamp in lower, left corner up about a
1/8” from bottom.
Repeat
without reinking, stamping on either side of the first image twice. Reink the stamp and do this process again,
this time stamping slightly higher to achieve the look of taller grasses.
Adhere
the smaller piece of DSP along the bottom of the card and then adhere a
seashell to the bottom of the grasses, slightly on top of the dsp.
Adhere the completed front of your card to the
card base adding a few Pastel Pearls to it.
