Cute Halloween Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone, another yucky and muggy day here in the Annapolis Valley.  Thanks heavens for fans and air conditioners.  I decided for this sketch to switch things up a bit and make a card that I don’t tend to make many of even though it is my favourite occasion of the year.  Yup, Halloween! 🎃 My oldest daughter was born November 1st and we always seemed to have Halloween themed parties for her birthday every year.  She enjoys Halloween just as much as I do now!  So I paired up the Banner Year stamp set and the Cute Halloween dsp to make this adorable card.

Supply List:

Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie cut at 5 ½”x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”; 1”x5 ¼”;  scraps for 2 circles

Basic White-cut at 4” x 5 1/4”

Basic Black-scraps for 2 circles

Cute Halloween dsp-4”x5 ¼”; 1”x5 ¼”; 4 images

Ink: Memento

Stamp Set: Banner Year

Dies: Stitched Shapes (circle)

Adhesive, mini black dimensionals

Paper Trimmer

Cut & Emboss Machine

Step- By- Step Instructions:

Stamping: I stamped the cute bat and “happy haunting” onto the small strip of Pumpkin Pie using Memento ink.

I also like to finish the inside of my cards so I then stamped a verse and another bat for the inside also using memento ink.

Using your embossing machine, cut out 2 each of Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black using the circle die from Stitched Shaped dies.

You will need to fussy cut your 4 images out of the dsp, unless of course you have the Halloween punch.

Now let’s assemble our card:

Adhere the stamped Pumpkin Pie strip across the front of the dsp, I placed mine horizontally and up about an inch from the bottom.  Then layer your cut images onto your circle die cuts placing orange on black and black on orange.  I used stampin seal for this part.  Using black dimensionals, pop up your circles just above your pumpkin pie strip and place in a row.

For the inside, I adhered the final fussy cut image onto the last die cut circle and placed it on the Basic White insert and finished it off with the last strip of dsp.  Now you can adhere that to the card base.

I think this is absolutely adorable!  I hope you had as much fun as I did making this card.
