Mystery Challenge pieces from Teammate Marnie
Hi folks,
Seems like I haven't been here for a couple of days, sorry for that. We have started staining our deck and that's been a bit time consuming. I was ever so excited when we decided to enlarge our deck a few years back from just a door step and a veranda to now a deck that wraps around 3/4 of our entire house. What was I thinking??? The temperature hasn't been ideal for it either, heat warnings all week with high humidity. Then, of course we had our little grandson here for the night so focused on him too.
Today's post will be using the pieces from my downline Marnie that were part of our Christmas in July (yup, I'm still playing catch up) swap. She provided beautiful die cut snowflakes from the Silver Foil and Balmy Blue cardstock. Here's what I did with them:
Supply List:
Cardstock:
Basic Black-cut at 4 q/4”x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
Balmy
Blue- scrap for snowflakes
Basic
White-4”x5 ¼”
Silver
Foil-scraps for snowflakes
Peaceful
Place dsp-cut at 4”x5 ¼”
Stamp
Sets: Holly Jolly Wishes; Peaceful Deer
Dies-Stitched
Snowflakes
Paper Trimmer
Cut & Emboss Machine
Step- By- Step Instructions:
Stamping:
Stamp your sentiment on the piece of dsp in the bottom, right corner using
Memento ink.
I
also like to finish the inside of my cards so I then stamped a verse for the
inside also using memento ink.
After
cutting out your snowflakes, use liquid glue to adhere and layer the die cuts.
Now let’s assemble our
card:
Arrange and adhere the
snowflakes to the front of your dsp, around your stamped greeting and then glue
to cardbase.
Adhere the basic white piece to the inside of your cardbase.
I found by using this particular selection from the Peaceful Place dsp, it really didn't need anything extra. There are already silver snowflakes embossed in the paper which complimented the die cut snowflakes perfectly.
