Scrappy Sketchin Tuesday

Another version of #sketchintuesday and another random internet sketch from Barb  from Making Cards at 1 ink hill.    I did stray a bit from this sketch but am quite happy with the results.  



Cardstock: cherry cobbler
Basic White 
Dsp: Tidings of Christmas 
Snow Wonder  (sentiment for inside)
Stamp set: Banner Year (sentiment for card front) 
Punch: Banners Pick a Punch 
Embellishments : Metallic Pearls 
ink : Memento 
Paper Trimmer
Dimensionals and adhesive of choice

The card is pretty straight forward to put together.  I did stamp a sentiment on the inside and added a flag for the top, right hand side.  A small strip of dsp along the bottom of the insert finishes off the card nicely. 
This is a cute but simple card to mass produce and a great opportunity to use up small scraps of your dsp or even embossed cardstock.  Sometimes less is more.

Stampin' Up! Paper Butterfly Accents Sympathy Card

Good day folks!  Another cold, sunny January day here in Nova Scotia.  Here is another project that I provided for my club gals.  It's actually one I found on Pinterest and case'd it using items I had on hand.  I had bought the butterfly accents last fall and finally got around to using them. I like this card because there is very little stamping, a bit of colour added using Blending Brushes and then adhere all of the pieces.  Let's get started! Colouring was the first part of this card.  First I added some colour to the sentiment for the cardfront as well as the insert using the Berry Burst ink and Blending Brushes.  I didn't want a lot of colour, just enough to pop the Memento sentiments....which I added next using sentiments from the Something Fancy stamp set.  The sentiment for the front can now be cut using the die from the Something Fancy bundle.  Next, I added some Berry Burst to the butterflies, again using the Blending Brushes.(large...

Stampin' Up! Unbounded Beauty DSP Birthday Card

Today's card is from a sketch that I found online from an American Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I often search facebook or instagram for inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. Stampin' Up! has made card creating so easy by offering so many coordinating products, it takes the guess work out of it and allows us more time to focus on having fun. The first layer of dsp used is a piece from the 2024-2026 In Color and I used the Summer Splash colour. This is adhered to a Summer Splash cardbase.  There are three more pieces of Summer Splash cardstock topped with either dsp or the top one which has Basic White on it.  They are all adhered using Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Dimensionals along the outer edges.  The Basic White cardstock layer is stamped using Memento and the Country Birdhouse stamp set.  To achieve the happy birthday, I covered one half of the stamp while inking it up, removed the covering (post it note) and then stamped.
