Inspire. create. Challenge #106 Colour Challenge

As another week has quickly whizzed be me, I am finally posting my #sketchintuesday project from last week.  With the last minute preparations for a busy Christmas, I somehow lost track of time and posting my card.

I combined this sketch challenge along with a colour challenge from Inspire. Create. Challenge.

The sketch is a random search on Pinterest and the colour challenge included the use of Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  I figured it was the last chance to create a Christmas card for this year so I started thinking of dsp colour combinations and immediately thought of the Gingerbread and Peppermint pack.  I fussy cut a few of the bells from the dsp, popped up on a piece of Crumb Cake which was then matted on to the Early Espresso cardbase.

All of those brown hues were not screaming Christmas to me so I decided to add some Real Red to the mix.  I used the reverse side of the bell which added my first dollop of colour.  The striped mask from the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks was used with the Blending Brushes with the Real Red, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink pads which gave the card the second dumping of colour.  A strip of Real Red stamped with Memento ink using the Merry Christmas from the November 2021 Paper Pumpkin set was the final burst to complete the card.  The Gilded Gems tied everything together nicely to finish off the card.

I added a bell to the inside along with a small section of blended lines and a sentiment to add another element. I really enjoy a finished insert of a card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  See you again real soon,

Mary Louise
