Slimline card with Daffodil Afternoon

 Good Morning, 

It is a beautiful, sunny day here in Nova Scotia.  I believe it is the calm before the next two storms being forecasted this week so I will enjoy this for now.  It’s Heritage Day here, which is a statutory holiday, another plus that I will enjoy as I am off. 

I have a monthly club group that gets together, each month has a pre determined hostess.  We make a couple of products-usually a new technique or fold showcasing all of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Products and then everyone makes a purchase.  Win- win! 

This is one of the projects we made this month…I broke down and shared a slimline card.  My focus was to share the new slimline envelopes that  Stampin’ Up! now carries.  They are very pretty and have three colours in one package.  Daffodil Afternoon dsp, a level 1 free product from Sale a Bration, paired nicely with Mossy Meadow cardbase, a bit of Crushed Curry tossed in for some contrast topped it all off.  The sentiment is from another sale a bration product, the Special Moments stamp set which is a level 2 product.  It is heat embossed on Mossy Meadows using white embossing powder, then cut apart to accent the flower layers.  I am very pleased with the outcome, not my idea entirely as I followed a sketch from another demonstrator on Pinterest but just implemented different supplies.  Take a look, let me know what you think.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Celebration Birthday Card

 Hey everyone! Today is the perfect day to be tucked in my craft room creating.  It's been snowing and now the sun is shining, and I am glad to be inside now. I received my preorder for the new mini catalogue and sale a bration.  My video today focused on the Wildflower Birthday 12x12 Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Birthday Celebration stamp set. So let me tell you a little bit about the dsp.  It has lovely colours of flowers, birthday cakes, and balloon images and some gold embossing also.  There are also 2 pages of bigger images you could cut out to be complete card fronts or tags AND 2 pages of various die cuts-from flowers, balloons and banners to greenery and cakes.   This card and layout are very easy to duplicate and still make a great card!. Halloween party invitations-Stampin Up Trick or Tweet

 Hands up who loves Halloween?  Or a Halloween party?  Better yet, a Halloween party for children?  I love Halloween, always have.  Our oldest daughter was born early November 1st, we thought she was going to be an October baby.  Every year for her birthday, she wanted a Halloween themed party so we did it.   We transformed our home to include webs and skeletons, glow in the dark things.  One year we made a haunted maze in our basement for the kids to travel through.  Volunteering with Girl Guides for many years, we always had Halloween parties as well.  Since my daughter is now almost 30 and I am not in a Guiding unit, I miss parties so I have convinced hubby to help me with a party for our grandson and 7 of his little friends.  We will play games, do crafts, have snacks, oh I can’t wait.  Step one were the invitations, because even littles like to get mail.  These are all set now to hit the post office in the morning and...
