Sketch challenge with Garden Wishes

Oh boy!  Another #sketchintuesday post and this one was really quick to put together.  Thanks again to @makingcardsat1inkhill for this sketch.  I did try to focus on products soon to be retiring from the annual catalogue, sort of their last hoorah.  You just never know when you purchase items from catalogues if they will be  rolled over into the following years catalogue so you have to make the most of them.

Garden Wishes bundle, Many Messages bundle and Bloom Where You are Planted are all retiring, let’s take a look at how I used them for this sketch.

I used cinnamon Cider for the cardbase, a normal A2 sized card.  The layer of dsp on top is from the Bloom Where You Are pack, I thought the colours matched perfectly.  Then I stamped the dandelion and leaves image onto Basic White and cut using the Dandy Wishes dies.  See that cute bumblebee?  I stamped and die cut him too.  The sentiment was stamped and die cut using the Many Messages bundle- I stamp and cut a bunch and keep in the stamp case to have all ready for future projects.  Since I planned to colour the dandelion, it was stamped using Memento ink, coloured using the So Saffron and Old Olive Stampin’ blends.  Dimensionals added to the dandelion gives that extra bit of depth to the card.  Brushed Brass Butterflies were  added to two of the dandelions and the bumblebee to the third.  The insert is Basic White, a small strip of dsp across the bottom and a stamped bumblebee in the corner….I so like the look of a finished insert.

Thanks for stopping by for another card project.  If you wish to watch a Facebook live for #sketchintuesday, join me each Tuesday night at 8pm Atlantic at East Coast Stamping with Mary Louise.
