Paper Piecing with Flowers of Friendship

Who doesn’t love a good sketch?  Take a look at this one that my pal Barb from Stampin @1 Ink Hill sent me.  I wanted to try a little paper piecing today, I think I have done something similar to this in the past before I knew it had a fancy name.

I used a piece of Heart &Home dsp, stamping directly onto the paper using the large flower image from Flowers of Friendship stamp set in Memento ink. Then I stamped again on a scrap of Poppy Parade and fussy cut out just the flowers.  I then adhered them to the original image using tear and tape.  Old Olive leaves were punched using the coordinating punch for this bundle.  Next I trimmed the pieces as the sketch shows and glued onto the Poppy Parade cardbase.  The sentiment was stamped using Memento onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and popped up using dimensionals. Final steps are placing a few of the Classic Matte dots on the card front.

I really enjoyed this technique, will be doing this again in the very near future.
As always, thanks for dropping by
