Sailing Home Stampin Up

Another week, another sketch challenge.  This weeks interpretation was a bit loose but if you look closely you can see where it is similar.  I like and appreciate the author offering the use any shape option.  That is something that I usually end up doing anyways….:)

Do you have a stamp set with one or two stamps that you gravitate to often but not every stamp gets used?   The set I used, Sailing Home is a good example of that.  I couldn’t tell you how many times I have used the lighthouse and the bigger sailboat.  Even a couple of the sentiments are well used but with this project, I inked up the Set Sail….for the first time.

The Soft Succulent cardbase matches this piece of the New Horizons perfectly, oh how I love how Stampin Up products coordinate.  I stamped the sail boats using Misty Moonlight onto scraps of Basic White and fussy cut them.  They are popped up using dimensionals for a little extra depth.  The flock of birds in the corner were stamped using Memento ink as is the sentiment in the center.  A few of the Classic Matte Dots finish off the card nicely, don’t you think?

As always, I appreciate you stopping by.
