Fancy Fold using Symbols of Fortune DSP

Happy Monday!  Today I am enjoying crafting while the sun shines in my windows!  It's so nice to be able to work with the curtains open and use the natural light.

My post today is creating a new to me fold and boy did it have me stumped for a bit. I found a couple of different versions on Pinterest and made it my own and am so happy with the end results.

I wanted to showcase some of the soon to be retired Symbols of Fortune DSP-some of which I actually fussy cut for the front and back of the card.

Crumb Cake Cardbase: 4 1/8 x 10 7/8.  Score at 6, 7 1/8, 9 and 10 1/8"; 3 x 6.  Score at 1/2x 1/5/8"

DSP-Symbols of Fortune: 4 x 4 3/8; 4 x 1 5/8"

Basic White: 3 3/4x 5 5/8; 2 3/4 x 4 1/8"

Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock scraps

Sweet Songbirds Stamp set

Double Oval Punch

Embossing Folder-Bark 3D

Memento and Calypso Coral ink pads

Blending Brush

Dimensionals

Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Burnish the score lines of the Base card.  Add the dsp with Stampin Seal.  Add adhesive to the smaller tab and fold up to adhere to the front.

Fold each of the score lines of the front panel.  Add adhesive to the small scored section at the top.  Before sticking it down, turn the cardstock over and place it on the front of the card to see where to place the adhesive on the lower panel.  Add adhesive then flip it over, holding the card flat and adhere this panel.

Using the Calypso Coral ink pad and the Blending Brush, add some colour to the larger of the pieces of Basic White card stock.  I also fussy cut a flower from the dsp added.  Adhere to back of card.  For the smaller piece of Basic White, run it through your embossing machine using the Bark 3D embossing folder.  With blending brush again, add some Calypso Coral colour using a circular motion.  Add this to the front of the card using adhesive.  Fussy cut some flowers from DSP and pop up on front of card using dimensionals.  Stamp the sentiment on Soft Succulent using Memento ink.  Using the Double Oval punch, punch out the sentiment using small oval, and from Evening Evergreen, punch using the larger, scalloped oval.  Adhere together and pop up on card front using dimensionals.  Finish it off by adding some Rhinestones to the card front.  This card will stand up on it's own but will also lay flat for mailing.

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you liked the card and you try it out!  Want to see more?  Copy this url into your browser and see what I've been up to!  https://bit.ly/MaryLouiseSocial
