Stampin Up In The Moment Get Well Soon card

 Hey everyone,

Mary Louise here, on yet another warm day.  I am sure you are tired of hearing me complain about the heat, lol,  wait till fall and I will be so happy to describe the lovely temperatures and colours all around me.  So in the meantime, it’s another hot, muggy day.  I am off from my other job today and I am moving from room to room under the fans to do what needs to be done in those rooms.

Todays post screams warmth but not necessarily in an outside hot kind of way.  So many of my friends have been unwell lately.  Between Covid, colds and surgeries, I just needed to create something that I could send them to help cheer them up.

I love to read, that paired with puppy love and a cozy blanket-all the right ingredients for an afternoon of self healing.  While it is a colourful card, it’s not bright and an in your face kind of colourful.  I hope it can make someone smile when they receive it.

I used a Gorgeous Grape cardbase, and topped it with a layer of Tea Boutique DSP.  Next, I cut a coordinating sheet of the same dsp into three pieces and adhered to the rest of the card layers.  On a piece of Basic White I stamped the image from In the Moment in Momento and coloured with Stampin Blends.  The radio announcer said it was National Colouring Book day so I thought I had best do some colouring.  Since this is intended as a cheer you up kind of card, I went with the Let’s Cheer You Up sentiment from Lovely you.  This piece was popped up with dimensionals and I added a few of the Pastel Pearls also.  Finished insides make my day so I added a piece of Basic White for an insert and placed a small strip of the coordinating dsp along the edge of the insert.

This layout was a sketch I found online, I really like the simplicity of the design but love the beautiful results.

Cardbase- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

Tea Boutique dsp- 4 x 5 1/4

Coordinating dsp- 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 (3)

Basic White- 3 x 3 3/4 (2)

Stamp sets- in the moment, Lovely You

Memento ink

Stampin Blends- Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Crumc Cake, So Saffron, Ivory, Bronze

Pastel Pearls

Stampin Seal, Dimensionals

Simple but effective layout, don’t you agree?

As always, thanks for stopping by.

Mary Louise
