Stampin Up Lovely In Linen Thank You card

Todays project is so pretty and it was very easy to make.  I wanted something extra special to do for my downlines, so everyone received the pieces to create this card, it was up to them to use their own sentiments, of course.  I love getting packages in the mail to create with and then use them for my own business.  Sometimes it's just the little things that can bring a bit of joy.
The larger piece of dsp was adhered to the Evening Evergreen panel and then adhered to the card front.  For the inside, the piece of Basic White and the alternate piece of dsp were both adhered to the Evening Evergreen panel and then adhered to the card base. So much finished already!  For the focal point, a piece of Basic White and Evening Evergreen were die cut using the Something Fancy dies (each piece used a different die to allow the ribbon to pass through but still showed the Evening Evergreen in the background).  I stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp using Evening Evergreen.  Adhered together using Stampin' Seal, tied with the ribbon and popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added a few Elegant Faceted Gems and voila!  I love how this worked out, and it did because of how the colours and designs coordinate so well.





Materials and measurements:
Pale Papaya cardbase 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 scored @ 4 1/4
Evening Evergreen 4 x 5 1/4 (insert); 3 x 5 1/4 (front); scrap for sentiment die cut
Basic White 2 5/6 x 5 1/4; scrap for sentiment
Lovely in Linen DSP 2 7/8 x 5 1/8 (front); 1 1/4 x 5 1/4

Stampin' Up! Beary Christmas Patchwork Border Christmas Card

 I know, it isn't even technically fall yet, but I just had to jump onto the Christmas Card wagon using some of the items from the new Mini Catalogue.  Isn't this dsp pretty?  It's the Beary Christmas dsp and it's all kinds of pretty blues, snow flakes with some great images to fussy cut or there is even a coordinating punch. The layout or sketch for this card is becoming a huge hit right now, the patchwork border sketch.  It's really quite simple actually, four pieces of dsp are cut-two of each size but using two different designs.  Add a piece of light cardstock in the center for the sentiment, layer it all onto another piece and it is so done.  My cardbase is Balmy Blue, my first layer is Night of Navy.  The pieces of dsp are from the Beary Christmas paper pack which are placed around the border of the Night of Navy.  I used a piece of Very Vanilla for the insert, stamped using Balmy Blue ink and the Brightest Glow stamp set.  The cool images are all fussy cut fr

Colouring Beautifully Penned DSP

  Today, I felt like colouring so I found some dsp to colour along with my Stampin Blends and here it is.  The Beautifully Penned dsp was the perfect choice to satisfy my colouring urge.  Do you find colouring is a stress reliever?  Here are the measurements and step by step instructions.  I created this live on facebook today, take a peek over on my page. Stampin' Up! Winter Meadow Christmas Card

 Good Day Everyone!  I thought this card layout was very interesting.  While it does seem to be a fairly simple card to create, if you try to mass produce or swap out dsp, you can get a bit lost in the cuts.  Please don't shy away from this though, it really is a creative way to mix and match your dsp.  If you don't have dsp, you could easily make your own and then cut.  I watched a video on you tube from another demonstrator to make sure I did the cuts correctly.  In the end, it isn't about measuring at all, but making sure the stack you use are always lined up. Using three different pieces of dsp that measure 4 x 5 1/4, stack them all on top of each other.  Remember, however you have them stacked will be the layout when you swap them out.  Now you can create three different cards all from these pieces and simply shuffling them between the three card bases.
