Stampin' Up! Fresh As a Daisy Sympathy Card

Hello!  It's Mary Louise here, from East Coast Stamping with Mary Louise.  Do you prefer to craft alone or with a buddy?  How are you most productive-alone or with a buddy/group?  In person or virtual or does it really matter????  Oh I am asking all of the questions today!  I personally prefer with a buddy but I craft alone also.  I likely get more done with other people because then I set more deadlines than alone.  And to be honest, as much as I enjoy going out to see people, I can be just as comfortable at home, via teams/zoom/fb and craft along with a group.

Today I am crafting with a buddy, Andrea!  She created our sketch and we both used different products which resulted in different projects.  Both were very nice and both very close to the sketch for a change.

When Andrea sent me the sketch I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I had recently purchased the Fresh as a Daisy DSP and remembered this piece and thought it fit well.  There is a similar sketch that I have used many times but always used three different pieces of paper but today I knew I wanted only one.

After cutting the beautiful daisies into three parts, I adhered them onto a layer of Copper Clay.  This was the first I had used of this new colour and I LOVE IT!  It shows just enough of the earthy tones to bring out the centers of the daisies.  This was then adhered to a Basic White cardbase with a strip of dsp for the inside.  Using a small piece of Copper Clay, I then stamped the sentiment from Something Fancy using Whisper White ink.  This was die cut using the Something Fancy Dies and popped up onto the card front after adhering a length of Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (white) underneath for interest.  It was a close call but the Brushed Brass Butterflies won for the embellishments.

I love how this card came together and so quickly but it is a beauty!  Thanks to everyone who watched either live or on replay as we have so much fun doing out thing!
