Stampin' Up! Trucking Along Birthday Card

 Today's card features the Trucking Along stamp set and punch.  It's a very versatile stamp that can be used for several different occasions or seasons plus it is a two step stamp.  Two step means that you use one stamp for the detailed outline, then stamp using the "fill in" stamp to do just that, fill in the image.  So in the instance of my project, the truck, clouds and the flowers were all done using the two step stamping technique.  So much fun!  The inspiration for this card came from Pinterest, I just changed up the colours and papers used.  

My cardbase is Gray Granite, with a die cut piece of Earthern Elegance dsp and another of Basic White.  There is another piece of Basic White for the insert that I also stamped on.  Here is how I did it:

Stamping directly onto the cardbase with the sentiment stamp and Gray Granite.  Then I adhered the die cut piece of dsp to the cardbase.  The die cut of Basic White, stamp the truck outline stamp using Gray Granite.  Then add the flowers to the bed of the truck using Memento.  Next using the flower "fill in " stamp, use Daffodil Delight and line the stamp up to fill in the flowers.  I used Old Olive and Crumb Cake Blends to fill in the leaves and flower centers.  Next using Pool Party, stamp the ground under the truck, and the cloud outline and "fill in" stamps.  Using a scrap of Basic White, stamp the truck outline in Memento, then the "fill in" using Gray Granite.  I coloured the tires using Light Basic Black Blends, the hub cabs in Pool Party and the center in Gray Granite.  The windows were also outlined in Pool Party.  Now you can punch or fussy cut your truck, add dimensionals and position over the stamped truck.  You can also add the Basic White die cut to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped part of a truck on the inside also-outline in Memento and filled in with Gray Granite.  A few Classic Matte Dots were added to the front for interest.
