Stampin' Up! Cradled in Love Baby Card
Oh My Goodness! Talk about a sweet little card. When I first saw this stamp set in the Sale a Bration, I knew I had to have it. Not that I make a lot of baby cards, but I need this in my stash.
I did look at a few you tube videos from other demos and used some of their ideas and then used my own colours and finishing touches.
The Soft Sea Foam layer is stamped all over using the Soft Sea Foam ink and the stamp from the Cradled in Love (elephant). I wasn't fussy with the center because that was going to be covered over anyways. Next, I cut from Basic White using the 2nd largest die from Color & Contour die set. Then I stamped using Pecan Pie, first the cradle, then the mat, arm for the mobile and mobile. I used Pecan Pie for the crib, arm and mobile ring, Crumb Cake for the mat, So Saffron for the blanket and mobile toys, grey for the whale and elephant (which I stamped onto a scrap of Basic White and fussy cut x2). Then, using the Soft Sea Foam ink pad and a blending brush, I added a bit of colour beneath the cradle, along the sides, and behind the mobile. Then I stamped the Bundle of Joy sentiment in Pecan Pie. The elephant is popped up as is this entire Basic White piece. My embellishments are from the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed dots.
Of course, I had to add a little something to the inside so it wasn't so plain. I stamped the mat off to the side and used the blending brush and Soft Sea Foam to add a bit of colour where I planned to add the insert. That too, is stamped using Pecan Pie.
I can't wait to try this in different colours
