Stampin' Up! Poetic Expressions Birthday Card
Good day!
I always enjoy a good sketch and this one did not disappoint. They certainly make my brief time at the craft table easier and more enjoyable. I can't wait to duplicate this one in particular using many different dsp options (trust me, I have LOTS to try it with!)
I adhered the large piece of dsp to the smaller panel of Basic White using Stampin' Seal, then wrapped a length of the textured ribbon around it before adhering it all to the Wild Wheat cardbase. I stamped the sentiment using Memento ink from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set, then punched it using the Hexagon punch. I also added a splash of colour with Flirty Flamingo. This is popped up using the Stampin' Dimensionals. A few of the In Color Dots were added for interest.
Since I love a finished insert, I stamped a sentiment using Memento on the Basic White piece of cardstock, added a strip of dsp and adhered to the inside of the card.
At first I thought it might be too much of one colour but I think there's just enough white in the dsp pattern to offset the Wild Wheat. I really am pleased with the results.
Materials and Measurements:
Wild Wheat cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Basic White 4 x 5 1/4, 2 1/2 x 5 1/4, scrap for sentiment
Poetic Expressions DSP 2 3/4 x 4 3/4, scrap for insert
Heartfelt Hexagon bundle
Memento and Flirty Flamingo Ink Pads
2023-2025 In Color Dots
3/8" textured ribbon-Wild Wheat
Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals
This was a fun sketch, even better that it had the measurements for me so it was super fast to prep. Swap out the dsp and sentiment for so many options.
As always, appreciate your comments.
