Stampin' Up! Unbound Beauty Birthday Card


Hello, and welcome to my blog!  

Today's project is using an epic older layout and giving it a fresh look using products from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue as well as some Online Exclusives.

It always amazes me how the products all coordinate and compliment each other.  Using three different selections from the Unbound Beauty Designer Series Pack, I was able to create a very pretty birthday card.  I like should have thought a bit about what colours I wanted to use for my cute bird but oh well!  

Once the cutting and the stamping is done, the card goes together so easily...if you are like me it might take an attempt or two to line up the pieces.

After running the larger of the two Basic White pieces through the Stamp and Emboss machine using the Zinnia 3D embossing folder, I attached it to the Petunia Pop cardbase.  Next I add the two long strips of dsp (bottom layer) to the cardfront using Stampin' Seal.  Next I added the three strips (top layer) to the middle layer, again using Stampin' Seal making sure my pieces were spaced nicely on top.  This can now be added to the cardfront.  

Stamping is next-I stamped using Memento ink onto a scrap for the sentiment, which I then added a strip of Petunia Pop for colour and popped up using Mini Dimensionals to the front.  I stamped a bird image onto a scrap of Basic White and fussy cut then coloured and adhered to the cardfront.  Adding a few of the Glossy Dots Assortment finished off the cardfront.  

My insert has another sentiment, then a stamped and coloured bird and a small strip of dsp along the side and of course, adhered to the inside of the card using Stampin' Seal.





 Materials and Measurements:

Petunia Pop cardbase 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scrap for sentiment background

Basic White cardstock 4 1/2 x 5 3/8, 4 x 5 1/4, strip for sentiment, scrap for bird image

Unbound Beauty DSP bottom layer 1" x 4 3/4" (2), strip for insert

Unbound Beauty DSP middle layer 2 3/4" x 4"

Unbound Beauty DSP top layer 3 3/8" x 3 1/4"

 Good Day Everyone!  I thought this card layout was very interesting.  While it does seem to be a fairly simple card to create, if you try to mass produce or swap out dsp, you can get a bit lost in the cuts.  Please don't shy away from this though, it really is a creative way to mix and match your dsp.  If you don't have dsp, you could easily make your own and then cut.  I watched a video on you tube from another demonstrator to make sure I did the cuts correctly.  In the end, it isn't about measuring at all, but making sure the stack you use are always lined up. Using three different pieces of dsp that measure 4 x 5 1/4, stack them all on top of each other.  Remember, however you have them stacked will be the layout when you swap them out.  Now you can create three different cards all from these pieces and simply shuffling them between the three card bases. Colouring Beautifully Penned DSP

  Today, I felt like colouring so I found some dsp to colour along with my Stampin Blends and here it is.  The Beautifully Penned dsp was the perfect choice to satisfy my colouring urge.  Do you find colouring is a stress reliever?  Here are the measurements and step by step instructions.  I created this live on facebook today, take a peek over on my page. Stampin' Up! Color & Contour Sympathy Card

 Hello folks!  It's me, Mary Louise from East Coast Stamping with Mary Louise bringing you another project from my #sketchingtuesday's live recently.  Even though these colours are a bit bright, I think they are still appropriate for a sympathy card.  They blend well together and offer some light during an otherwise sad time.  It seems as soon as I make a few of these cards for my stash, there are being pulled, signed and mailed lately.   A piece of Basic White cardstock was cut using the Color & Contour dies as the first layer onto the cardbase.  Next was a layer of the Stargazing DSP which was adhered also using Stampin' Seal with a final layer of Basic White which I stamped images and a sentiment onto.  The beautiful flowers were stamped onto scrap Basic White, fussy cut and then popped up using dimensionals being sure to line up with the stamped leaves.  This stamp set is a two step-so I started with the outline and used Berry Burst, then I used the full flower stam
