Stampin' Up! Book Binding Baby Card

Today's project is a super fun and easy fold that I seem to gravitate to often.  It is a great way to showcase your pretty papers and create beautiful cards.

This card was used for my club party gals, and I often like to shake it up a bit and give each of them different colours or dsp pieces-all from the same pack but different designs.  This gives you a better visual of all of the colour combinations you can use.  The first picture is of mine and then theirs.

I realized I hadn't made any baby cards for awhile and then had to dig into previous years stamp set as I didn't have a current one that was suitable.

So this is a book binding card, much like a regular card but a little extra design on the left hand side of the card which makes it unique.

The card base is scored in two spots, one is obviously the center of the card, the other is for the book fold.  Using the second score line as a guide, I stamped my sentiment on the inside of my card using Memento.  Then I adhered the ribbon to the space between the two score lines by running some adhesive on both sides, centered my ribbon and placed it in between the lines and pressed down firmly.  The two pieces of dsp were then adhered to the cardstock and then adhered to the card base.  Now you can tie your bow with your ribbon-I actually just tied in a knot.  Using Memento again, I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of cardstock and punched using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch.  This is then popped up on dimensionals and centered on the cardfront.  Finishing off the card with a few of the Rainbow Adhesive-Backed dots and a small strip of dsp on the inside.  Such a nice design.
