Stampin' Up! Santa's List Christmas Card

 Hey everyone!  It's been a minute since I have made any kind of posts and I was feeling like I needed to share my most recent trip to the craft room.  To be honest, I can't remember the last card I made, my focus has been on other crafting endevours and I'm also very involved in Girl Guides and that has been very busy for me.

While going through my card stash and checking my Christmas card list, I realized I needed to make a few to complete my list.  Not gonna lie, pretty much everything I used on this card is retired but very much loved so why not?

The Santa from Santa's List was one of my early purchases and even though it's long been retired, it's been one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets.  The recipient of my card that I needed today has some littles and she is a little at heart so it was the perfect fit.   Certainly not my design, but I did swap out the dsp, and some of the tools used.  Here's what I did:

I stamped all of my pieces first: inside greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock, Santa on a scrap of Basic White, and the sentiment for the front of the card on a scrap as well.  These were all stamped using Memento.

Then I started to cut out and assemble.  Santa and a piece of Basic Black were cut using the Stitched Shaped Dies, the front sentiment was cut using the Something Fancy Dies.  Real Red card base and a layer of the Reindeer Days DSP and last but not least, the insert from Basic White.

Santa was coloured using Real Red and Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends with a little swipe of Wink of Stella.  

Now let's assemble: Strip of dsp on the stamped insert and adhere to the inside of the card.  Next came the piece of dsp to the card front using tombow mono glue.  I popped up the outside sentiment using mini stampin' dimensionals.  Santa was adhered to the black circle and then adhered using tombow mono glue to the card front.  Some two toned sparkle gems are lending a helping hand as well...did you see how I used it for the hat pompom?  Too cute!!!!!  I really hated to give it away but I know it will be well received.





Materials and Measurements:

Real Red cardbase: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded in half

Basic White cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4 (insert), scrap for both die cuts

Reindeer Days DSP 3 3/4 x 2 5/8, strip for insert

Basic Black cardstock: scrap for die cut circle

Stampin' Up! Paper Butterfly Accents Sympathy Card

Good day folks!  Another cold, sunny January day here in Nova Scotia.  Here is another project that I provided for my club gals.  It's actually one I found on Pinterest and case'd it using items I had on hand.  I had bought the butterfly accents last fall and finally got around to using them. I like this card because there is very little stamping, a bit of colour added using Blending Brushes and then adhere all of the pieces.  Let's get started! Colouring was the first part of this card.  First I added some colour to the sentiment for the cardfront as well as the insert using the Berry Burst ink and Blending Brushes.  I didn't want a lot of colour, just enough to pop the Memento sentiments....which I added next using sentiments from the Something Fancy stamp set.  The sentiment for the front can now be cut using the die from the Something Fancy bundle.  Next, I added some Berry Burst to the butterflies, again using the Blending Brushes.(large...

Stampin' Up! Unbounded Beauty DSP Birthday Card

Today's card is from a sketch that I found online from an American Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  I often search facebook or instagram for inspiration to get the creative juices flowing. Stampin' Up! has made card creating so easy by offering so many coordinating products, it takes the guess work out of it and allows us more time to focus on having fun. The first layer of dsp used is a piece from the 2024-2026 In Color and I used the Summer Splash colour. This is adhered to a Summer Splash cardbase.  There are three more pieces of Summer Splash cardstock topped with either dsp or the top one which has Basic White on it.  They are all adhered using Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Dimensionals along the outer edges.  The Basic White cardstock layer is stamped using Memento and the Country Birdhouse stamp set.  To achieve the happy birthday, I covered one half of the stamp while inking it up, removed the covering (post it note) and then stamped.
