Heart & Home for the finish! #sketchintuesday sketch challenge

 Good day folks,

My intent for this card was to showcase some of the products that were hitting the retired list today, giving them one last hurrah before they were shuffled from my current pile to retired.  This doesn't mean they won't ever be pulled back out to be used, on the contrary!  Once I started to put pieces together, I realized that I was using a few items all from the same suite-certainly not intentional but oh well.

The sketch provided to me from Barb had me a bit perplexed at first...I usually sweat when she sends me "busy" sketches and hope for a simpler one.  This was certainly a calm one but it still had me stumped.  So I started out with what I could use for the layers and the rest just fell into place.  Of course I added my own spin to it :)

Cinnamon Cider cardbase-5 1/2x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.

Pale Papaya layer-4x 5 1/4, scrap for circle die cut

Basic White insert-3 1/2x 4 3/4

Heart & Home DSP-3 1/4x 4, strip for insert

Hive 3D Embossing Folder

Open Weave Pale Papaya ribbon

Peaceful Moments stamp set

Memento Ink

Layering Circle Dies

Heart & Home Doilies

Brushed Brass Butterflies

Dimensionals, Stampin Seal

Once I embossed the Pale Papaya layer, I adhered it to the Cinn Cider cardbase using stampin seal.  Next, I cut a piece of ribbon, about 5", wrapped it around the front of the dsp and adhered to the back using stampin seal, then adhered to the Pale Papaya layer.

I stamped my sentiment to the circle of Pale Papaya and then placed in the center of the doily-was a perfect fit!  The doily was popped up with dimensionals.  Three of the brushed brass butterflies were added to the front to finish it off.

Since I like to finish the inside of my cards, I stamped a sentiment then added the strip of dsp to the bottom of the basic white and adhered to the inside.

Where the sketch first stumped me, I must say I fell in love with how it all came together.  So happy with the results and how all of the colours and products blend together so well.  Thank you to Stampin' UP! for making it so effortless to coordinate your products.
