Blackberry Beauty Sympathy Card

Figured I had better post today since tomorrow will be another #sketchintuesday project.  I really don’t know how time slips away….when I started my blog, I promised myself I would post every other day.  If I had content, I even posted daily.  Since then, my other job has moved from 20 hours a week to almost 40.  I also watch my grandson after school biweekly and if he sees me heading to the craft room, he wants to stamp too.  I swear he has eight arms as fast as he grabs the stamps and starts creating.  How are four year olds so quick?  So now I am down to once a week mostly and feeling like I have abandoned everything.  Hopefully I can get into a better routine and get back on track.

Here is my project and the sketch provided to me.  It is a random search on Pinterest and not necessarily an active challenge from the creators.

My cardbase is Early Espresso, with a layer of gold from the brushed metallic paper (holiday mini) and then a piece of the blackberry beauty dsp.  Can you believe I have had this dsp since July and this was the first time I used it?  I stamped the sentiment from peaceful moments with early espresso, punched using the double oval punch and then added to a punched piece of early espresso using the elegant tag punch.  My embellishments were a small bow from the early espresso faux suede trim and gold metallic pearls. This card has so many rich tones, it is a calming card, perfect as a sympathy card.  Stop back in again, I promise it won’t be so long for my next blog post.
